Adolescent Health in Sub-Saharan Africa

Adolescents in Sub-Saharan Africa make up a significant portion of the global adolescent population, with over 226 million young people aged 10-19 years old. As this population continues to grow, we must invest in their education, health, and well-being to ensure a brighter future for all. By coming together at this conference, we learned from each other, shared best practices, and worked towards a common goal of improving adolescent health care across the continent.

Memories of the 10th Adolescent Health Conference in Kampala, Uganda are filled with gratitude. Special thanks to the Global Health Initiative, PATH Uganda, the Society of Adolescent Health in Uganda, the Uganda Paediatrics Association, the African Society of Adolescent Health, WHO Afro, the Ministry of Health in Uganda, and the Department of Paediatric and Child Health at Makerere University.
